The couple had no idea the show was about to make them reality-TV stars. In the course of the show, the couple proved themselves to be tactful and successful bidders. They became the stars. The couple's popularity in the show's reality competition allowed them to expand their business. They also opened a second store in addition to one they previously run. After their appearance on 'Storage wars', a spin off show 'Brandi & Jarrod: Married to the Job" was made specifically for them.
